Paris Jackson Decides the World Has Had Enough of Her Father’s Private Life
Paris Jackson, the eldest child and only daughter of the late Michael Jackson, is opening up about her relationship with her famous father. But what she has to say just might be a bit disappointing to his diehard fans.
As we previously told you, Paris hasn’t shied away from talking about her father in various capacities. Whether it’s defending what he left behind in a years-long legal battle with his own estate or pushing for truer narratives on the biopic about his life—the singer isn’t really one to hold her tongue when it comes to her father.
But now, in a new interview on Jack Osbourne’s “Trying Not to Die” podcast, she’s revealed that moving forward, she won’t be as forthcoming about certain private thoughts, feelings, and memories of her father despite once feeling compelled to.
“There’s definitely a certain element where I felt I had to share everything,” Paris said. “And that has drastically changed in the last few years, because I don’t really feel like any of us owe anyone anything.”
Instead, the artistic singer is opting to cultivate a more private relationship with the “P.Y.T.” singer that’s only for her and reserve intimate details about her father and memories for just her own peace of mind. (This also means that fans won’t get any personal anecdotes about the late “Thriller” singer from Paris anymore. In making this decision, Paris claimed that she’s now gotten to a better, more “beautiful” place with her father.
“I’m now learning I can have my own personal relationship and I’m allowed to be private about it, and I’m now like, my relationship is the most beautiful relationship ever,” Paris said. “I’m in a very beautiful spot with my dad, and I love that, and it’s no one’s business, and I don’t have to share that with anybody. And there’s a lot of freedom in that, which is really cool.”
She later clarified: “I’m not going to express my love in a copycat way, copying someone that didn’t know him. Because I did. That was my best friend.”
