Jennifer Hudson
Musical powerhouse and daytime TV show host Jennifer Hudson (who Davis helped push to success) stirred everyone in the building with her performances of “Hallelujah” and “I Will Always Love You,” the latter of which was made famous by the late Whitney Houston—another one of Davis’ well-known artists and friends.
Dionne Warwick
A music icon in her own right, Dionne Warwick attended the funeral to honor Davis. In a move that only she could make, the songstress made sure the crowd wasn’t too quiet when she got up to speak. As many users online have noted, it was very “Aunty-coded” and just downright hilarious. A much-needed comic relief for the sad occasion.
Alicia Keys
Alicia Keys, who was discovered by Davis decades ago and was subsequently launched into stardom, delivered an emotional eulogy to the late music veteran.
LL Cool J

LL Cool J made sure Davis and his family felt the love and support by showing up to the funeral.
