What We Know About Big Tigger’s Domestic Abuse Scandal
Former “Rap City” host and popular radio personality Big Tigger has been in the news for the past several weeks, due to allegations of domestic abuse and infidelity against his estranged wife, Alicia Brown. Now that he’s taken leave of absence from his job and with a new arrest taking over the headlines, let’s take a look at how all of this drama transpired in the first place.
The Cryptic Post That Launched a Thousand Questions
Things all kicked off at the beginning of June 2026 after Brown posted a since-deleted video of her bruised and battered face to Instagram with a cryptic caption: “Someone ask my husband why my face happened.” She also tagged Tigger’s (legally Darian Morgan) radio show co-host Francesca Amiker, but didn’t provide any further context.
Naturally, once the blogs and other news sites began circulating the photo, it sparked a firestorm of fans questioning what was really going on between Brown, Morgan and Amiker.

Big Tigger Comes Under Investigation

About a week after Brown’s viral post, Morgan was under investigation for an alleged domestic dispute that took place between him and Brown in May 2026. According to dispatch records obtained by TMZ at the time, Brown sought medical attention for unspecified, non-life-altering injuries but failed to detail what exactly caused them in the first place.
Shortly after the news of this investigation went public, Morgan dropped a video statement on his official Instagram, denying all allegations and asking for privacy.
“I want to say categorically that these allegations and accusations that have been circulating are false. Additionally, it’s important to clarify that Francesca and I have never been anything more than friends and respected colleagues. I’d like to apologize to her for the impact of these last few days,” he said in part.
He continued: “Out of respect for everyone involved, I ask for grace, privacy, and restraint as my family navigates this difficult moment. For more than 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving my community through music, entertainment, and connection, and I remain grateful for the trust so many of you have placed in me throughout that journey. I intend to continue living and leading in a manner worthy of that trust.”
Alicia Brown Backtracks (Sort Of) and Francesca Enters the Chat

Later in the same day, Brown appeared to try to clean up the insinuation she made in her previous Instagram post by making it clear in a new statement that she never called Morgan an abuser and that she would just let the facts speak for themselves. She also spoke out against people on social media coming to their own conclusions and creating false narratives.
“I want to be clear: I have never called my husband an abuser. Social media has drawn its own conclusions from information that was shared, but those conclusions are not statements I have made. I respect the legal process and believe law enforcement should be allowed to do its job without interference from anyone, including me,” she said in the statement sent to “The Breakfast Club.”
She continued in part: “In recent days, many claims, opinions, and narratives have circulated publicly. While I understand that people will form their own views, I remain confident that the facts will speak for themselves in due time. Until then, my focus remains on my family, my peace, and protecting those I love.”
Meanwhile, Amiker also decided it was time to clear her name and any misconceptions and put out a short statement of her own, writing in an Instagram post, “The allegations being circulated about me are completely false and do not reflect who I am or how I conduct myself,” she shared. “I have never had an affair or cheated with a married man. I stand by my character, my integrity, and the truth.”
Big Tigger’s Shocking Arrest and Denial
In late June, Morgan was arrested on charges of aggravated battery and cruelty to children, though details of the specific incidents related to the charges weren’t released. He was released on bond the same day, per Complex.
Less than a week later, he posted yet another statement denying all the allegations.
“I unequivocally deny every allegation that has been made against me,” he wrote in part. “For the past 30+ years, I have built my life around relationships and community. Those who know me know the man, father, husband, and friend I have been throughout my life.”

Francesca’s Defamation Lawsuit
As the drama between Brown and Morgan continued to unfold, earlier this week, Amiker filed a federal defamation suit against Brown alleging that she “made these knowingly false and defamatory statements about Amiker negligently and with actual malice.” Per Bossip, Amiker also alleged that Brown “used multiple social media accounts throughout May and June to falsely accuse her of having a romantic affair with her co-worker, helping cause the couple’s divorce, and condoning domestic violence.”
Amiker also alleged that these allegations have hurt her career as a veteran journalist and media personality in the entertainment industry and is therefore seeking $75,000 in damages.
Viral Video Footage Divides Social Media and Big Tigger Makes a Big Announcement
Not too long after the news of Amiker’s lawsuit began circulating, video footage of Brown and Morgan tussling over his phone hit social media. Immediately, folks online were sent into a frenzy, with many feeling divided on how to interpret what they saw.
At the same time, Morgan officially announced on Instagram that he’d be stepping away from his radio hosting duties at Atlanta V-103 station so that he could focus on his family and let this legal battle play out.
“For as long as I’ve been in this industry, my focus has always been to keep the spotlight on the culture and the incredible people I get to interview. But right now, my personal life is in the public eye and has become the subject of overwhelming speculation and misinformation,” Morgan wrote in part. “Through all of this, what hurts the most is being away from my son. Nothing is more important to me than being a great father. So I’ve decided to step away from the mic for a while to focus on my family and give my legal team the room they need.”
The Plot Twist No One Saw Coming
As if all of that wasn’t enough, things got even more strange after it was reported that Brown herself had been pulled over and subsequently arrested on kidnapping charges in Georgia. According to Atlanta News First, the sheriff’s office confirmed that she was wanted by the Baltimore County Police Department due to warrants that stemmed from the disappearance of a 10-year-old child reported missing in 2019. The child in question is Brown’s own daughter, Ailea Brown, who’s been missing since May 2019.
“Brown was also wanted by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office on felony charges of Interference with Child Custody,” the sheriff’s department said.
They later added: “The Baltimore County Police Department’s Fugitive Team will coordinate with the arresting jurisdiction to facilitate the suspect’s extradition to Maryland. This still remains an ongoing investigation.”
