One TikToker’s Bouncy Church Dresses Are Going Viral—and Giving the Met Gala a Run for Its Money

If there’s one group of people you can count on to have impeccable style, it’s Black churchgoers on a Sunday morning. One woman in particular, Kimberly Davis, has built a massive fanbase on TikTok purely through the glamorous way she dresses for service. Her “Get Ready With Me” videos showcase her putting together unique, show-stopping ensembles for Sunday mornings and the workplace that could easily rival the haute couture of the Met Gala.

Davis’ viral videos have earned her 1.9 million followers and over 60 million likes across her page. If you haven’t stumbled across her videos yet and are wondering what the hype is about, it all makes perfect sense the second you see her step into the frame!

In her most popular post, which has over six million likes and 30,000 comments, Davis gets ready for a Sunday of worship in a bright dress from the Black-owned brand Jazz It Up Boutique that actually bounces when she moves. The gown had folks in her TikTok comments questioning the physics of it and asking where they could get their hands on one.

“How that dress bouncy like that? I want it,” wrote one user.

“The movement in that dress is spectacular,” added another.

A third user exclaimed, “GIRLL THAT DRESS IS SOMETHING ELSE!!”

Davis also makes sure to accessorize to the fullest with chunky gold jewelry, bright red high heels and a smooth silk press that could compete with Queen Latifah’s iconic blowouts.

A Stylish Couple

Davis doesn’t focus only on herself when putting her outfits together. She gets her husband right too, from picking out a matching hat and dress shoes to choosing his cologne for the day. There’s no question that they are one of the most stylish couples once they enter the house of the Lord.

On TikTok, folks love the fact that the two always show up as a coordinated pair.

“THE LIP?!?! THE SHOES?!?! THE FIT?!?! THE COORDINATED HUSBAND?!?! A QUEEN,” wrote one user in awe.

“You are a diva and we all love divas,” added another.

“A baddie and a man that can handle the baddie,” commented another.

Work Fits Are Just As Fabulous

While her church looks tend to be Davis’ most popular content, the clothes she wears to work are just as sharp. In a video that received over 300,000 views, Davis wore a silky white and purple suit with a creamy satin tie and, of course, a pair of shimmering silver high heels, showing folks that no matter where she’s going, Davis will always be her most fabulous.

In her TikTok comments, folks have been begging for a closet haul and for Davis to reveal her perfume collection.

One user typed: “Auntyyyyy we need a closet tour!! I think i speak for everyone. We alll want to see it.”

Another added that her sense of style must mean she works in the fashion industry: “Gorgeous outfit… look nice on you… I think she as a fashion designer what a nice collection.”
