Olandria Manifested Her Dream Makeup Collab—Here’s How
Olandria Carthen is no doubt having a helluva year. But her winning streak just got even more glamorous thanks to an all-new, stunning collaboration with legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath. Now, she’s opening up about how it all happened!
Sitting down for an interview with Marie Claire, Carthen shared how starstruck she was over McGrath when they first met in November 2025. In now-viral footage, fans could see the two women embracing and posing for pictures at Glamour Magazine’s Women of the Year event before engaging in brief conversation. At the time, Carthen shared how “sweet” and “warm” she was and expressed her desire to work with her soon.

Now, as evidenced by the newest Pandora x Pat McGrath collection, it’s clear Carthen got what she put out in the universe to get, as she’s the gorgeous face of the new campaign. The new collection features a variety of charms, rings, and necklaces that serve as a good mashup of Pandora’s signature jewelry style and McGrath’s longstanding passion for beauty. And who better to showcase the new goodies than one of the industry’s biggest “It Girls?”
Reflecting on how things all came together so she could work with McGrath almost a year to date from when she first put it out there, Carthen described the ordeal as a “pinch-me moment.”
“When my team brought that information to me—like, ‘Hey, you’re going to get to be alongside Pat in this release with Pandora’—I was just like, ‘No way. No me.’ I almost felt like I was dreaming,” she explained. “I was so happy. I’ve never said yes so fast in my entire life. To be on set with her and the Pandora team, I literally could have just cried. Everyone was so nice. I never felt so confident on set before. It didn’t feel like I was in reality at all.”
She went on to share how she really had to put on her game face (as if she doesn’t have it on any other time) while standing next to McGrath so she could meet the moment in the way it deserved. And judging by the beautiful pictures—it’s clear she did just that!
“Standing alongside someone like Pat McGrath, who’s had so much skin in the game, who’s been around for a long time, making waves in the industry day in and day out, you couldn’t go in being a little girl. I had to be like, ‘Okay, I got to put my grown woman pants on and really stand because I’m standing next to an icon here.’ I had to bring my A game,” Carthen said.
In a separate interview with Teen Vogue, Carthen also spoke about how collaborative McGrath was while working on set and how quickly she made her feel comfortable enough to speak up and make suggestions.
“She was so easy to work with, so easy. At first I had a red lip, and I was like, ‘Oh, I’m not really feeling the red lip for this. I feel like let the eye makeup be the moment.’ So I did my normal nude lip,” Carthen shared. “She was just like, ‘This is your campaign just as well as it is mine. I want you to feel good, and I want you to feel confident because it’s going to show when we’re taking the pictures, when we’re doing the videos. I need you to be there with me.’ And that was just very sweet, and I loved that about her.”
We don’t know about y’all, but this truly sounds like a match made in beauty heaven!
