Nene Leakes’ Most Hilarious ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Moments

Nene Leakes’ Most Hilarious ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Moments

Nene Leakes is just days away from making her grand return to the “Real Housewives” franchise in the season premiere of the “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th,” set to air on August 9. While we wait to see her back on screen, BRAVO was kind enough to give us a sneak peek at her appearance—and believe us when we tell you, it’s everything!

The tease got us so excited that we thought it would be fun to take a look back at some of the most iconic moments she brought to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” that still live rent-free in our heads.

From hilarious one-liners to mini-monologues that diehard fans still quote to this day, keep reading for a good laugh. Nene, we will forever speak your name!

“Whew Chile, the Ghetto”

We’re starting strong with one of her most quotable pop culture moments. Hearing Nene’s disgust at walking through “the ghetto” streets of Atlanta and seeing her former costar Kenya Moore’s latest living situation is hilarious from start to finish. (Also, shoutout to everybody who used to have white refrigerators in their homes before this episode aired. We’re sure you appreciate the stainless steel now.)

“Bling Bling Bling”

Seeing Nene’s confusion over being gifted a Rolex watch by her business partner is a hilarious moment you can’t forget. There are just so many quotables in this one scene alone. Who was really doing it like her?

“Drop Some Beats”

Who knew season seven would come with so much heat? Nene teasing her former costar, Kandi Burruss, about finding a recording studio while they were in Puerto Rico shouldn’t be as funny as it is. But it’s too good!

“What’s Wrong With a Bob?”

The Puerto Rico trip delivered so many good moments, and this one of Nene airing out her issues with former costar Claudia Jordan’s bob hairstyle is iconic. We know hairstylists everywhere were shaking after watching this, fearing their clients would walk out of their salons with “tight,” “folded under” bobs!

“I Said What I Said!”

“I SAID WHAT I SAID!” Do we really need to explain this one? The swiftness with which Nene said this and then launched the “regular, degular” phrase into the cultural lexicon should be studied. It’s a group of words that can never be said again without automatically thinking of her. That’s what you call impact!

“Kimora Is Across the Street”

The season 10 reunion, similar to the Puerto Rico trip, was the place where many memes and popular sayings were born. But it was also home to Nene’s comical recollection of meeting Moore’s then-boyfriend and the encounter that ensued as it happened. This was also the moment we got the extra “so nasty and so rude” comment. There are a lot of goodies here!

“Stay Out of Women Business”

Nene Leakes was never afraid to go at it with anybody, male or female. If you needed proof of that, take a look at this scene when she clashed with former costar Cynthia Bailey’s ex-husband, Peter Thomas. The one-liner she gave him is classic!

“Oh Hell Naw”

Leave it up to Nene to check you when you’re feeling yourself a little too much. When Kenya Moore felt like she was ready to get physical with someone, Nene had to yank her back down to reality with one simple statement. (We’re gonna be using this one regularly from now on, too!)

“I Am Very Rich!”

Talking about Nene and her money (or the perceived lack thereof) was always the quickest way to see her go from zero to 100. That’s exactly why she popped off at her former costar, Shereé Whitfield, the way she did. (For what it’s worth: yelling out “I am very rich!” is a good manifestation technique.)

“Cheers to the Girls’ Weekend!”

Take one look at TikTok, and you’ll see a lot of girls recreating this moment, and we can see why! Nene’s toast starts great before taking a slight turn. But it’s still so amusing.

“Close Your Legs to Married Men!”

If two people went at it a lot on “RHOA,” it was Nene and her former costar Kim Zolciak, especially in the early seasons. While a lot of it was laughable, sometimes their insults hit a bit low, like when Nene told Zolciak to “close her legs to married men.” Whew, chile. The ghetto indeed!

“Where Is Your Scooter?”

There was really no reason for Nene to ask Zolciak where her scooter was so many times and as loud as she did. But we can’t lie and say that it wasn’t funny to watch!

“Room to Grow”

While you could argue that Nene deserved a clapback after making the sandwich comment to Whitfield’s friend, it still wouldn’t be enough to justify how hot said friend came at her for it. Nene was absolutely right for feeling some type of way about it, and even in her offense, she still gave us memorable lines. Talk about a woman who takes a licking and keeps on ticking!
