Janet Jackson’s Fire New Hairdo Sparks Praise—And A.I. Speculation Online

Janet Jackson has always been fabulous and has never shied away from giving us a memorable beauty look. But her latest blonde bob hairstyle is getting lots of attention, as folks sing her praises and, alternatively, wonder if it’s even real in the first place! Let’s get into it!

On Tuesday, the “Rhythm Nation” singer debuted a nice, wispy blonde bob in a stunning selfie posted to her official X/Twitter and Instagram accounts. Although she’s been rocking the look since Oct. 16, when she performed at the F1 Singapore Grand Prix, her fans and followers didn’t really get a good look at her new ‘do until she posted the selfie online. Her hairstylist, Ashanti Lation, also posted a video of Jackson with the look on TikTok.

“[To] me, what makes it nice are the pieces. It needs to have those pieces,” the “Got ‘Til It’s Gone” singer said as she played around with her hair.

But while many people were in awe of the style, a handful of others wondered if the image of the famous Jackson sibling was AI-generated, because it was just that gorgeous.

“You’re too damn pretty, and no AI pics are needed. Ever,” wrote one user on X/Twitter.

“Is it AI, auntie?” another user questioned.

“Okay, so this is actually Janet and not AI,” said another in part on TikTok.

One other user wrote: “Omg, she getting younger or what’s going on?”

Still, compliments and hilarious commentary about the cute cut and Jackson’s undeniable face card really took up most of the real estate in her comments section, especially on Instagram. Even a few celebrities fans of the new look weighed in.

“This is simply unreasonable,” Keke Palmer wrote.

“I thought I was looking at a resurrected Tina Turner for a split second,” one person commented.

Added Yvette Nicole Brown: “Can you just give [us] a minute to catch our breath?! Sheesh!”
