Darlene Love at 85: Soul Icon Stuns Fans With Youthful Look

Black don’t crack” holds true once again. The iconic soul singer—and co-reigning Queen of Christmas alongside Mariah Carey—Darlene Love has just turned 85 and continues to look as gorgeous as ever. After a recent appearance on the Today show, Love has fans on TikTok shook as they wonder whether she is using a beauty potion that gives her such a youthful glow. However, according to Love, the real secret is simply living a fulfilling life.

In her Today show interview, the legendary singer radiated glamour with a chic platinum blonde hairdo, a purple floral gown, rosy pink blush, and a sweep of glittery eyeshadow. Looking as fabulous as ever, she joked that it felt crazy to be turning 85, especially since she has sons who are already in their 60s.

On TikTok, fans in the comments were in total awe of Love’s ageless beauty, struggling to believe she’s officially in her 80s:

“85???? Wow she just looks incredibly beautiful,” wrote one user.

“Black don’t crack,” added another.

The documentary Love is speaking about is “Darlene Love: I Know Where I’ve Been.” But aside from her documentary, Love has had a fulfilling career in show business and is responsible for the the classic 1963 holiday hit “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home).”

She also starred as Trish Murtaugh in the famous “Lethal Weapon” films and was the lead singer for the 1960s girl group the Blossoms. To put it simply, Love has been an entertainment legend for over 50 years and still looks fabulous! As she turns 85, we—just like the folks on TikTok—are praying we age as gracefully as she has.
