Black Celebrity Siblings You Probably Didn’t Know Were Related

Hollywood may love a good solo star, but let’s be real–sometimes talent runs in the family. From music charts to movie screens, there are a handful of Black celebrity siblings have been giving us double (and sometimes triple) doses of star power for decades.

Take Beyoncé and Solange for example. When they link up, that’s not just sisterhood, that’s history. And what about actors Wood and Steve Harris? They’re both powerhouses who consistently steal the screen and make us all believe in what they’re portraying. And who could forget the iconic sisters that are Debbie Allen and Phylicia Rashad? Not only are they both insanely talented, they’re also longstanding epitomes of grace and feminism and we love them for it.

These siblings don’t just share DNA, they share a knack for commanding attention, they cheer each other on, and occasionally collaborate–which is a win-win for us. Whether they’re dominating red carpets side by side or carving out completely different lanes, they’re proof that sibling royalty beats out sibling rivalry any day. But there may be a few that you didn’t know shared blood.

So, in honor of National Siblings Day, we thought we’d round up some most famous Black sibling duos and trios who’ve kept Hollywood in the family. Keep reading to get into the goodness!

Tracee Ellis Ross may have a show centered on her solo travels, but she doesn’t have to go anywhere alone if she doesn’t want to thanks to her little brother Evam Ross.

The Wayans Brothers

At this point, the entire Wayans family should be regarded as the First Family of Comedy because of all they contributed. From the Keenen to Marlon, nearly every member of this family is hilarious and we’ll treasure them forever!

Chloe and Halle Bailey

Omar and Cuba Gooding Jr. being brothers makes as much sense as a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. From the genes to their respective acting chops, it’s no wonder why “good” is in their last name.

Beyonce Knowles-Carter and Solange Knowles

Do we really have to say much here? Bey and Solange are just THOSE GIRLS.

Wood and Steve Harris

What’s so funny about Wood Harris and Steve Harris being brothers is that they’ve started portraying sort of “good cop, bad cop” roles on projects which makes us super curious to know if their real life personalities match the characters they frequently play?
